A cantora Taylor Swift e o cantor canadense Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, mais conhecido como The Weeknd, lideraram a lista de indicações para o Grammy 2016, anunciaram os organizadores do evento nesta segunda-feira (7).
Taylor foi indicada ao prêmio melhor álbum do ano e ao melhor álbum pop do ano com 1989, ao de gravação do ano, música do ano também, melhor performance solo todos pela música Blank Space e à melhor performance duo ou grupo por Bad Blood, que interpretou com Kendrick Lamar.
Já The Weeknd foi indicado ao melhor álbum do ano com Beauty Behind the Madness e à gravação do ano e melhor performance com Can’t Feel My Face. Por sua vez, Kendrick Lamar foi indicado ao prêmio de melhor álbum do ano por To Pimp a Butterfly, à música do ano por Allright e está concorrendo com Swift no prêmio de melhor performance duo.
Os organizadores anunciaram ainda que o músico Lionel Richie será homenageado como Personalidade do Ano, prêmio dado a um artista pela sua contribuição ao longo da história para a música.
